ANIMIKI SEE DISTRIBUTION
ANIMIKI SEE DISTRIBUTION Inc. (ASD) is an international distributor based in Canada, headquartered in Winnipeg with an office in Toronto. ASD is an initiative and wholly owned arms-length subsidiary of Dadan Sivunivut, a Canadian corporation devoted to the promotion of Indigenous Canadian television and film productions, radio, musical talent and other cultural activities. Dadan means “Our Peoples” in Southern Tutchone and “Sivunivut” means “Our Future” in Inuktitut. Dadan Sivunivut is an independent subsidiary of the national Canadian broadcaster APTN (the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network).
ASD has a mandate to market and distribute Indigenous produced content to broadcasters globally and to promote diversity through projects that feature Indigenous talent and creatives. Launched in 2018, ASD has a growing catalogue across scripted and factual programming, including series and documentaries in kids, animation, lifestyle, current affairs, comedy and drama produced by Indigenous creatives worldwide.
We are experienced in international production, marketing and distribution and license content to both traditional broadcaster and digital platforms worldwide.
In addition to finished program sales, we work with our clients to assist with early-stage development projects, pre-sales and co-productions. We attend the international content markets throughout the year. Feel free to get in touch.
ASD is a CAVCO approved and Canada Media Fund (CMF) recognized Eligible Distributor.
We work with independent Indigenous producers from around the world and represent a diverse slate of content across scripted and factual genres, including kids, animation, lifestyle, arts/culture, history, science, and documentary.
